Managed IT support in London typically costs between £75 and £135 per user per month for a fully managed service including security, backup and unlimited service desk access. For a 30-person professional services firm, that puts most fully managed contracts in the region of £2,250–£3,750 per month.

The range is wide because three things move the number: how much security and compliance work you need, whether your systems are cloud-based or still partly on-premise, and how much strategic input you want alongside day-to-day support.

Cloudscape prices every engagement on the actual shape of your business rather than a fixed package, because a 25-person FCA-regulated investment firm and a 25-person creative agency have genuinely different requirements. Our free IT audit covers 30 key areas of your environment and gives you a costed picture before you commit to anything.

Cloudscape’s managed IT support includes unlimited service desk access, strategic management, technology alignment, proactive monitoring and maintenance, patch management, Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint security, backup management and ongoing technology guidance. Hardware, software licensing and major project work such as office moves or cloud migrations are quoted separately.

That separation is deliberate. Bundling project work into a monthly fee means you either overpay in quiet years or your provider under-delivers in busy ones. We keep the recurring service predictable and quote projects on their merits, so you always know what you’re paying for.

What we won’t do is charge you per ticket. If your team needs help we are here to help without any unknown costs.

Switching IT provider is usually far less disruptive than businesses expect. A typical transition to Cloudscape takes four weeks from signature to full handover, and the majority happens in the background without interrupting your team’s working day.

The pattern is consistent: we document your environment thoroughly before we change anything, agree a transition plan with clear checkpoints, then move service in a sequence designed so there’s never a moment when nobody is responsible for your IT.

The real risk in switching isn’t technical, it’s informational – providers who never documented your systems properly in the first place. We handle that by rebuilding the documentation ourselves rather than relying on what we’re handed. No surprises, no disruption, just continuity.

Cloudscape offers 24/7 support, but most businesses we speak to don’t need it and we’ll tell you that rather than sell it to you. It genuinely matters if you have staff or clients in other time zones, run systems that must stay available overnight or operate under regulatory obligations that require it.

For a London firm working broadly UK hours, our extended-hours cover til 10pm and weekends with a clear out-of-hours escalation route for genuine emergencies usually delivers the same protection at a fraction of the cost.

Cloudscape works to defined response targets by priority: 30 minutes for critical incidents affecting your whole business, 1 hour for issues affecting multiple users. Our service desk is staffed 8am til 6pm and most issues are resolved remotely on first contact. We also provide extended hours of support til 10pm and on weekends or 24/7 if required globally

Response time matters less than resolution, though, and that’s where a lot of SLAs are quietly misleading. An automated email in four minutes is a response. It isn’t help. We measure and report on how quickly problems are actually fixed.

Where something can’t be resolved remotely, we come to you. Our base near London Bridge means we can reach most central London offices inside 2 hours and we support clients across London and the M25.

Yes. Cloudscape delivers co-managed IT services where we work alongside your internal team rather than replacing them, and this is now a substantial part of what we do for larger clients.

The split is agreed explicitly at the outset. Typically your internal person or team handles user-facing support and business-specific applications, while Cloudscape provides the infrastructure depth, security operations, out-of-hours cover and vendor management that’s uneconomic to build in-house.

Co-managed arrangements work best when they’re designed to remove the parts of the job your internal team dislikes – 1st line, patching, monitoring, holiday cover, escalation to Microsoft – so they can focus on the work that needs someone who knows your business.

Yes. Cloudscape has supported Apple Mac environments for over 25 years alongside Windows, and we hold qualified specialists in both. Mixed-platform offices are one of our long-standing strengths.

This matters more than it sounds. A lot of MSPs claim Mac support and deliver a Windows service with Macs tolerated at the edges — which shows up the first time you need proper Mac device management, FileVault enforcement or Apple Business Manager configured correctly.

We see genuinely mixed estates most often in creative agencies, architecture practices and design-led businesses, where the design team is on Mac and finance is on Windows. Both should be equally well managed and equally well secured.

If a Cloudscape client is hit by ransomware, we move immediately to contain the attack, isolate affected systems, assess the scope of encryption and begin recovery from tested, isolated backups – while supporting you through the notification obligations that follow.

The uncomfortable truth is that recovery quality is decided long before the attack. Businesses that recover in days have immutable, tested backups and a documented environment. Businesses that recover in weeks, or pay, don’t.

We’ve handled real incidents, including full-scale cryptolocker recovery for a professional practice, and the pattern repeats: the entry point is usually something mundane – unlicensed software, an unpatched edge device, a reused password. Our Protect stage exists to close those routes before they’re used.

A vCIO — virtual Chief Information Officer — is a senior technology strategist who works with your leadership team on IT direction, budget and risk without the cost of a full-time hire. Cloudscape includes vCIO input in our partnership engagements rather than selling it as an add-on.

You need one when technology decisions have started carrying real commercial consequences and nobody in the business is qualified to make them. Typical signals: you’re planning growth or acquisition, facing a client or regulator asking hard questions about your systems, or repeatedly surprised by IT costs.

What a vCIO produces is a technology roadmap tied to your business plan – so you know what’s being spent, when and why. Planning ahead without surprises, as we put it.

Yes. Cloudscape helps London businesses adopt AI tools – Microsoft Copilot in particular – with the governance, data controls and acceptable use policies needed to do it without creating new risk. We’ve built our approach around ISO 42001, the international standard for AI management systems.

The common failure isn’t the technology. It’s turning on an AI assistant across a Microsoft 365 tenant where permissions were never tidied up and discovering it will now  summarise the salary spreadsheet for anyone who asks.

So the work happens in a sequence: get your data permissions right, set a policy your staff can actually follow, then deploy. For regulated firms, that governance evidence is increasingly what clients and insurers ask to see.

Cloudscape works with businesses from around 10 to 250 users across London and the M25, with particular depth in financial services, legal, professional services and creative sectors. Our clients range from growing SMEs to UK offices of international companies.

Sector concentration is deliberate rather than accidental. Having supported FCA-regulated firms and SRA-regulated practices for years means we already know what your auditors, insurers and clients will ask – we’re not learning your compliance regime at your expense.

For smaller businesses we act as the complete outsourced IT department. For larger ones with internal IT, we usually work co-managed. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so early.
